This is a twelve page direct mail marketing catalog for Zegrahm Expeditions. It contains a tipped-in two-sided micro-perfed business reply card.
My role was to conceptualize, design, produce, pre-press, proof and press-check the finished piece. Following that, I was responsible for producing the PDF version, for archiving the files and logging applicable photography into an image bank, and for deconstructing the brochure into various assets suitable for web publication.
I worked closely with program managers, executive directors, and an in-house writer/editor for the printed version. I also worked with a web & multimedia developer for the online version of this piece.
I used my own photography for the cover and within certain spreads, as well as photography sourced from an in-house image bank, stock, and a network of travel photographers.
This piece was printed in Seattle by ColorGraphics using FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) approved paper.
To develop and complete this project, I used a combination of pencil sketches, research, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Word during multiple rounds of proofing and design modification.
Bonus: In a tough economy, this piece yielded significant response. Specifically, it led to more sales and interest in future programs.
