This is an invitation I designed for a gallery show of student artwork produced during the 2014/15 AIGA Seattle LINK series of volunteer workshops.
I loved working on this! As I write this sentence they have not been mailed. I used Neenah’s new duplex Astrobright stock and Astrobright window envelopes to create visual immediacy and pop.
My role was to conceptualize, design, write and produce the finished pieces.
Each invitation will be hand-stamped and hand-addressed, adding to the curiosity factor. These invitations are literally un-ignorable and unavoidable in a person’s mailbox and, hopefully, on their refrigerators.
AlphaGraphics in Seattle kindly donated the printing and paper for the invitations. I donated my design.
To develop and complete this project, I used a combination of pencil sketches, research, InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator during one round of proofing.
